Outfit post - The cape

Good morning everyone!
It's the beginning of the new working week and I'm
kicking mine off by going to the gym, running errands and
making plans, setting deadlines, etc. for my photography.

How was your weekend? I had great time with friends and family.
This coming weekend is my birthday and I can't believe that it's already
that time of the year when I'll once again turn a year older.
Where does the time fly... seriously?

We've been lucky with the weather for the past couple of days since
it's been very nice and sunny outside.
I have decided to take my new cape out for an outfit post.
Ever since I saw this cape on Elena Perminova I knew I needed to have it.
It's from H&M A/W '13 collection which was premiered on Paris Fashion
Week earlier in Spring. Hope you like it :)

Have a great day!

I'm wearing: Cape, blouse & clutch - H&M's A/W '13 collection from Paris,
Shoes - Calvin Klein, Jeans- Diesel, Sunnies - Celine,
Earrings & ring - Deni design

Life in colours of a rainbow

Happy Friday afternoon and the beginning of the weekend!
I have decided to write a bit different post today, which I like
to do every once in a while.
Something completely non-fashion related but very much related
to the lifestyle, the one that I lead or strive to lead.

I got very inspired couple of days ago by my little soon to be 5
years old daughter.
I don't mention her on blog often, but now I just have to because
that little human being has thought me so much about life, love and
patience. She has opened my eyes and made me love life the way
I never did before or though that it could ever be possible.

Couple of days ago I have realised that she's been mentioning word
"rainbow" in almost everything she did, played with, talked about...
Everything is a big rainbow for her and she even coloured in colouring
book with different crayons just to make a certain drawing look like a
rainbow or have rainbow colours.

I used to suffer from deep depression for a very long time and in dark
periods like those were, I couldn't see the beauty that surrounded me,
I couldn't be happy about pretty much anything and nothing seemed to
fill to void inside of me, but now... Especially now, since the little one
got me so inspired with her "rainbow" point of view, I'm able to enjoy
the beauty in the smallest things.

Nature outside looks amazing at this time of the year! Everything looks
like an Autumn rainbow. Leaves are everywhere in all possible shades
of red and yellow, sun shines more beautifully than usual, air smells fresher,
sea looks calmer, rain inspires me...

My point is that... Depression or no depression, I feel that me/ we often
forget to appreciate just the moment that we're in, to see life in different
dimension, forget about any problems, high expectations and just breathe in
and breathe out and see the beauty that is everywhere around us.

Have a beautiful weekend all you sweet people!

P.S. Thank you for all the comments. I always read all of them and
am thankful for each and every one of them :)

Outfit post - Hunter girl

It's been very rainy and windy day today, so the Hunter
boots are a must have on days like these.
I had to run couple of errands downtown and I found
one super pretty blouse by Red Valentino and can't wait to
wear it and show you in an outfit post.

Even though it's mid of the week, I'm very much looking forward
to the weekend. My sister is coming back from her vacation and
there's a Fashion and beauty fair on Saturday/ Sunday + meeting
some friends too.
I love easy going and introverted weekends but from time to time
I need to have a fix of eventful/ busy weekends too :)

I'm off to prepare the best tomato soup and have some mommy-daughter time.

I'm wearing: Dress: Charlie Design, Boots - Hunter, Tights - Falke,
Belt & bag- Guliver, Rings - Tiia Vanhatapio, Scarf - Burberry, Jacket - Levi's

Outfit post - Saslik

Good Monday everyone!

How was your weekend? Mine went by so fast.
On Saturday I went to the most delicious restaurant in the
city for a family lunch. It's called Saslik and they serve Russian
cuisine dishes.

I've been going to this same restaurant for the past 5 years and it
never let me down! Good thing is that they change their menu
every now and then, so there're always some new meals to try out.

Fall is in full swing in Helsinki and even though I'm sad that Summer
is over, just one look outside my window and I'm smitten by the
Autumn's magic :)
I got myself couple of new Pukka teas with Autumnish flavours and
favourite ginger bread cookies to make the transition easier.

Here's the outfit which I wore for the family lunch back on Saturday.
Have a great beginning of the week!

I'm wearing: Boots - Unisa, Jeans - Diesel, Blazer - Rachel Zoe,
Blouse - Winter Kate, Bag - Rebecca Minkoff, Earrings & ring - HOH1960

Outfit post - More than a feeling

Good Thursday morning everyone!

Here's an outfit which I wore yesterday to circus.
First time I went to circus was 13 years ago in Moscow.
I remember that my mom took me there and I was SO impressed
that I have talked about it for days and made memory pictures to
store that amazing moment in the grey cells of my brain :)

Fast forward 13 years and now I have a child myself too and
it was time for us to experience circus together, this time Circus
Finlandia in Helsinki.
It was so much fun and I felt like a little kid myself because I was
so impressed with all the performances and how surreal and entertaining
they were.

Anyway, back to the outfit. I got these jeans couple of months ago and
ever since they've been my favourite pair of jeans.
This chunky pink knit is from Mango which I picked up impulsively on sale
just a couple of days ago and I like it a lot.
It's perfect for chilly days like yesterday.

Now I'm off to do a small home decor shopping downtown.
Have a great day!

I'm wearing: Jeans - Marc by Marc Jacobs, Ballerinas - Pour La Victorie,
Sweater - Mango, Clutch - Zara, Ring&earrings - HOH1960, Bangle - present

October essentials - my picks

Hello!
One of my favourite websites is definitely Polyvore, since it's
so creative and gives you possibility to create numerous collages and
then share it with the world and also make your own little "pin boards"
weather it's home or fashion related.

Here's a list of things I got for myself or have been craving for
this October, which is also one of my favourite months of the year.

1. TOP SHOP boyfriend coat in pink
One of must have pieces this month and Fall is definitely a pink coat.
The more I look at this Top Shop's coat, the more I want it in my
closet.

2. DIPTYQUE Figuier scented candle
I'm a huge scented candle fanatic. I just need to have scented candles
at home and I love to light them almost every day.
Diptyque scented candles are definitely in my top 3 favourite brands and
I definitely recommend Figuier because to me that's a smell of Fall :)

3. CRATE AND BARREL Staub pumpkin covered casserole dish
I love cooking and October is among other things all about Halloween, so
this cute pumpkin covered casserole dish will be a great addition to your
kitchen.

4. ETRO Fedora hat
I LOVE hats, but I have one problem... None of the hats fit me the way
I expect them to fit. I seem to be best friends with beanies but when it comes
to hats which I just love seeing on girls (and guys) I can't seem to find the
perfect fit.

5. POTTERY BARN Throw blanket
One thing that you'll always see in my living room is a throw blanket.
I love to wrap myself in a blanket every evening and just sit in my sofa,
watch my favourite TV series, drink tea or edit photos after a photo shoot.

6. ZOE KARSSEN sweatshirt
Something that's been on my craving list for a while now are sweatshirts.
There're so many of them in stores and online shops but this Zoe one looks
very tempting to me :)

7.TORY BURCH boots
Back in August, when I was visiting NYC, I bought myself two new pairs
of very similar boots by Frye, one in black and one in brown.
Something that I can't imagine my Falls without are perfect pair of boots.

8. BURBERRY scarf
Everybody should invest in a good quality scarf which will keep you warm
when the weather gets chilly/ windy/ rainy.
Burberry has great ones, but there're also less pricey but still great quality
ones by Acne for instance.

9. BURBERRY umbrella
This super stylish yet sophisticated umbrella is a great and functional
accessory for Fall.

10. Hot chocolate with whipped cream
Something to keep you warm and what will instantly give you a cozy
and satisfying feeling while you're spending an afternoon/ evening with your
loved ones or watching TV.

11. ESSIE NAIL POLISH Lil rich girl
I love Essie nail polishes and this shade is my pick for this month!

Hope that you have enjoyed in my picks. Let me know which things
you can't imagine your October without?
