Photo shoot: Nelli

Good evening my dear readers,
I'm back with a new post today and I'd like to share edited
photos from my latest photo shoot.
I wanted to shoot fashion/ editorial/ beauty photos and thanks
to my husband, Krista the make up artist and beautiful Nelli
from Paparazzi model agency, I think that I have delivered the
kind of photos I was hoping for.

What do you think of these photos?

On the other side note, I'd like to express my gratitude for all of
you following me throughout this long, but hopefully entertaining
enough Blogtober. Tomorrow is the last day and I'd like to let you
know that I have enjoyed so much posting every single day, that it
never, not even for a moment felt like some kind of obligation or such...
I'd like to say that I'll continue posting with the same tempo throughout
November too, but don't take me for my word, since there might be
day or two when I'll skip a post, just to be able to give some certain
posts more attention than they would get if they would be replaced
with the new post already inside 24 hours.

That's all, have a great rest of this evening and check in back tomorrow
for my Halloween post! :)

P.S. For more of my works check my official website or my FaceBook page .

Outfit post - Chanel boots

Hello Wednesday and hello everybody!
This day started off very nice since the first thing
I saw after opening my bedroom's blinders were
sun rays! When the weather gets cold, esp. when the
Winter starts to approach, sun is such a rare thing in Helsinki.

I've done some photo editing right away after having my
breakfast and then I went to meet a friend for coffee and
did some grocery shopping.
Pretty easy going day so far and I like it... :)

Right now I'm in the middle of cleaning my flat and slowly
preparing it for the upcoming Halloween party this Saturday.
Are you into Halloween? How important day it is in your country?
I was never into it and never found the reason to "celebrate" it, but
since my daughter got so much into it and wanted so much to have
a proper Halloween party, I've decided to give it a go and experience
it for the first time ever! Can you believe that? :D

Anyway, back to my outfit, I finally wore my new boots which
I got at Chanel retailer in Helsinki, store called Della Marga.
They're just so perfect and it was love at first sight when I saw
them at the store.
I like them so much that I wanna wear them every single day :)

Have a great day dear girls, much love to each and every one of you!

I'm wearing: Boots - Chanel, Bag - Celine, Scarf - Kenzo, Jeans - Diesel,
Coat - Isabel Marant for H&M, Blouse - JCrew, Sweater - Burberry,
Earrings - Tory Burch

Gourmet moment: Pumpkin soup

Good evening dear readers!
First of all - THANK YOU!!! so much for all of your
amazing comments on my last post. I'm overwhelmed
with such a positive response that I can't wait to show you
my new photos from the photo shoot which I had this morning.
I've been working on editing them, so that's why today's post is
coming bit late, but better late than never! :)
Can you believe that there're only 3 days left of this massive
Blogtober month!? It's been so much fun from my side, I hope
that you've enjoyed it as well!

One of favourite things every Fall, except layers, cozy evenings
with scented candles and long walks in parks with tons of leaves
on the ground, are -> PUMPKINS!
I'm a junkie for pumpkin soups and I even turned my husband into
a huge pumpkin lover ( he used to hate it ).
Here's a recipe for a very simple, but super comforting and perfect
pumpkin soup! Enjoy!

What you'll need:

*1 medium hokkaido or butternut squash pumpkin
*veggie stock ( or chicken stock )
*coconut oil
*2 banana shallots
*2 cloves of garlic
*cumin
*ginger ( fresh or ground )
*cooking cream
*salt

First, wash your pumpkin and then slice it in half. Take away
all the seeds and some extra pumpkin "meat" that comes off
with them.
Then dice your pumpkin into small cubes and set aside.
In a smaller pot, heat up the veggie stock ( about 1L/ 4 cups ) and
when it starts to boil take it away from the stove.
Then, warm up a bit bigger pot a little on the stove and add some
coconut oil ( measurement according to your preferences ).
Add chopped up banana shallots and garlic, stir. In a minute add
the pumpkin and stir some more, then add the veggie stock and lower
the temperature a little bit.
Let it simmer for 10 minutes and then add teaspoon of cumin and half
a teaspoon of ginger.
Let it simmer for another 10 minutes and then add 2 pinches of salt.
After another 10 minutes, take away your soup from the stove, blend
everything with an immersion blender and return to the stove.
Add 150-200 dl (2/3 - 3/4 cup) of cooking cream, stir for a minute and
take away your soup from the stove. Let it "sit" a little bit before serving it.
Serve with some rye bread croutons or bread sticks on the top.

Photo shoot: Sofia

Good Monday everybody!
I woke up to a dark and rainy Monday today and even
though it was hard to want to get up from the bed and
start my day, I had to do a ton of stuff very quickly as
I have a toddler that goes early to kindergarten and I was
meeting a friend/ business associate, so the morning was
quite hectic.

One of the things I've been doing yesterday and today was
editing photos from the photo shoot which I had last Saturday
with a gorgeous girl named Sofia. She's also a blogger so
do check out her blog on THE OOTD DIARY .
Themes of this photo shoot were an "Autumn Fairy" and "Dreamer".
The photo shoot location was in a gorgeous park in the city centre
which had just the right, magic touch that I have hoped to capture
in my photos.

More photos and behind the scenes photos you will be able to find
soon on my photography's FaceBook page -> HERE!

Let me know how you like these photos :)

Have a great day!

My Pinterest

Good afternoon dear people!
How's your Sunday? I've been yesterday out after
a long time and it was so nice as it was a special kind
of party going on for a very special person that had no
clue she had a party and 100 people waiting to surprise
her.
This morning I woke up feeling bit messed up as the clocks
have changed in Europe to one hour backwards.
I never understood the whole thing around switching clocks
from Winter to Summer and vice versa.
I think that Russians did it well by keeping one and the same
time throughout the whole year.

Anyhow, I wanted to share my Pinterest PROFILE with you!
I've created it quite some time ago, but haven't been using it very
often, but now I've decided to bring that little inspiring "thing" in
my everyday life, so make sure to follow me as I promise you to
pin the best of best when it comes to pins such as: favourite recipes,
favorite places, dream home, books worth reading, my style, home
decor, etc.

Here's one pin that totally comes in handy for this time of the year
as Halloween is approaching and actually happening next week.

Kisses!!

Saturday quote

Good evening dear readers!
Just a really quick post today, I've been the whole day
on the run. There's one quote which caught my eye today
and I feel like sharing it with you.
It's by one of my favourite authors, Doreen Virtue and
I can highly recommend you her books, pretty much all of them!

Have a great Saturday!

Outfit post - Layers

Brrrr!!!
Oh yes, it's cold outside and I have already started
a hunt for Winter clothes and accessories, such as hats,
gloves and scarf. I'm this kind of person which NEEDS
to stay warm, otherwise I get extra cranky and I can not
function properly.

I've been running around like crazy ever since landing from
Croatia, yesterday afternoon.
I have a photo shoot scheduled for tomorrow and there're all
sorts of props that I've needed to get as well as clothes/ jewellery.
It's so exciting to finally do a photo shoot, esp. after I had to postpone
my course at NYFA to next year.

I'll inform you more with the details about and from the photo shoot
in one of my weekend's posts but for now, enjoy my simple, casual
outfit which I wore this morning.

Stay safe and remember to check back here tomorrow for a new post! :)

I'm wearing: Boots -Frye, Jeans - Diesel, Coat - Max Mara, Bag - Givenchy,
Blouse - Mango, Sweater - COS, Scarf - Burberry, Ring - Deni design,
Earrings - House of Harlow 1960, Bracelet - Balenciaga

Travel diary: Day 8

Aaaaaand today was the last day of my trip in
Croatia. It's always a bittersweet moment, but home,
work and "daily life" are calling, so I'm flying out tomorrow.
I've made sure that I maximise every day during this trip, so
I'm leaving back home with a heart full of love and joy, as I've
done everything to make people around me happy, I've spent
time with my family,  I've met some dear friends, I've bought
bread to those who don't have for it, I've signed petition for a
good cause, I've enjoyed every single little thing and have realised
yet once again that this quote "It's not important how many years
there's in our lives, but how much life there's in our years" is SO
true! You can go on every single day without doing or experiencing
anything special or you can live every single day as if it would be
your last day.

I leave you with a few more photos and am returning back tomorrow
witha new post, so don't forget to check in! :)

Travel diary: Days 6 and 7

Hello my dear readers!
It's late at night and I'm slowly turning into a night
owl, since I always post so late nowadays. Gotta change
that as I am actually a morning person and my brain functions
the best in the morning, not having to mention that I love to
do all of my daily tasks/ errands right away in the morning...

Anyhow, back to this post, I've had two really lovely days,
spent outdoors, at market square and with my family.
I'm very happy that the weather has been so good to me that
I didn't needed much clothes on and could enjoy the warmth
of sun rays in the middle of October.

I've been also taking long and lots of walks all over the city
and here're some photos of hidden gems of Sibenik city, which
is also a place where new season of Game of Thrones has been
filmed. Definitely a jewel on the Adriatic sea coast :)

I also gotta admit that I always have the best pizza when I'm
in Sibenik. I just LOOOOVE the way they make them here
with all of the fresh ingredients and in the real stone oven.
Mmmmm, yum! So, all of you foodies out there, take a note
in case that you're planning to visit Croatia next Spring/ Summer.

Here are the photos:

My birthday

Hello everybody!!
As you might know already, yesterday was my birthday
and I must say that I've accepted my new "number" much
easier and happier than last year, when I have turned 26.
I'm SO glad to say goodbye to 26 and I can't wait to experience
what it will be like to live as a 27 year old.
In numbers, there's not big difference, but there is in the whole
vibe and feeling which I have now, this new level of ME that I
have reached and I haven't had that when I have celebrated 26th
birthday last year.

26th year of my life has thought me a lot of valuable lessons,
it has pushed my limits over and over again, it has tested my
nerves like no other year in my life and as much as it was
"ugly" year, it was equally amazing and I will forever cherish
it my heart... Past year was a breaking point for me in many
ways and I was so glad to enter 27th year of my life yesterday.
The fact that the whole day was filled from the morning till night
and the fact that I have been surrounded by the people that love
me and care for me the whole day was the best present I could ever
wish for. When you truly feel loved is the best thing in this world
and anything and everything around you gets a whole new dimension.

This morning was a pure pleasure to wake up and just be thankful
for every single moment that I have lived through yesterday, for
all of the sweet faces I've got to see and spend time with and on top
of it all, I was so thankful for the beautiful sun that was shining so
strong in the middle of October...

THANK YOU!! Universe, God, whatever you wanna call the higher
power... I'm at peace and looking forward to this year being the most
amazing year in my life yet.

*enjoying the sunshine and a peaceful moment in Solaris, Sibenik

*spending time with my sister

*walking around and just enjoying the beauty that surrounds me

*lunch time with my family at Trattoria Solaris

*all of these beautiful flowers for me and there were "added" more later on too :)

*perfect ending to my day - surprise birthday dinner
