Outfit post - Untouched

Good morning everybody!
How are you doing? I'm so glad to see that you've liked
my Feta cheese - kale salad from yesterday's post. I'll make
sure to share more healthy and easy to prepare recipes in the
future as well.

I'm almost done packing up all of our stuff, including the suitcases.
All I need to do is take few more trash bags to the trash and sign
in at the hotel, because today is the last day for us to move out of the
apartment that we've been renting for the past year.
It's been a lovely little apartment in the middle of the city centre and
yet I never felt that it was located in the midst of all of "hustle and bustle"
since it's so well "protected" from the busy street life and I always felt
safe and "far away" from everything when I wanted some peace and quiet.

It's been such a cathartic experience cleaning up this flat, getting rid of
almost everything we ever owned and just packing up the most loved/ treasured
items and some of our clothes.
We have thrown away/ donated/ gave away a lot of food, clothes, toys
and it makes my heart happy that in a short time, we have put a smile on
many people's faces. Give and you'll always get back in one way or another.

Today's outfit post felt like posing "naked" since I didn't had any make up on
and since I look super tired ( which I am ) but I wanted to still put it up because
this is me, right now, this moment, bit stressed out, not rested, in the middle of
closing one big doors behind me and about to open doors to a whole new life...
This is me, being real and for the first time in forever not being afraid or ashamed
to walk outside without being 100% made up.
I love to get ready every day, I love to put on some light make up and all that, but
right now, I wanted to prove myself that I am beautiful just the way I am, without
any "masks" on and that it's ok to not be 100% polished at all times.
Us women at times make so much pressure on ourselves for no reason.
WE ARE BEAUTIFUL, it's our smile that makes us irresistible, it's the tone
of our voice that makes us a great friend, it's the warmth of our heart that makes
us a great lover and companion, it's the beauty and complexity of our mind that
makes us so unique!

Ok my ladies, I'll finish now with the final apartment check and "trash-work"
and then I'm off to treat myself with a nice foot treatment and manicure.
Enjoy this day everybody!

I'm wearing: Boots - Frye, Jeans - Diesel, Checked shirt - Zara,
Coat - Isabel Marant for H&M, Bag - Mansur Gavriel, Sweater - Samuji,
Earrings & ring - HOH1960

Gourmet moment: Feta cheese and kale salad

Buon apetit my dear readers! :)
As you might already know, I'm in the midst of moving
and am swamped with tons of boxes that need to be packed
and stored + I'm trying to empty my fridge completely, so
while not having much time to cook anything special and
using only the ingredients that I have left in my fridge, I've
decided to whip up a healthy salad for yesterday's lunch and
my family loved it!

It's very easy to prepare, takes minimum time and effort, but
is way tastier and healthier than any take away/ fast food option.

You can of course still add more toppings/ ingredients to this
salad if you wish and you can also serve it as a main course
or then as a side salad to (in my case) oven baked sweet potatoes.

Here's what you'll need:

*kale ( take the stems off and break the leaves in smaller pieces )
*fresh rucola ( rocket leaves )
*sprouts
*bell pepper
*cherry tomatoes
*radishes
*crumbled fresh Feta cheese
*olive oil
*lemon juice
*balsamico
*salt, pepper, dry oregano
*1 tbs of Dijon mustard

Remove the stems off of kale leaves and "break" the leaves into smaller pieces.
Put them in a bowl in which you'll be "whipping up" this salad.
Take a handful of sprouts, wash them and put them in the salad bowl.
Chop up fresh rucola, bell pepper and cherry tomatoes and add all of them to the bowl
as well. Squeeze a little bit of lemon juice in and mix everything ( with hands or fork )
for a minute to two so that you make kale a little bit more softer.
Then add crumbled, fresh Feta cheese  on top and chopped up radishes.

To prepare the dressing, you'll need a tablespoon of olive oil, half a tablespoon of balsamico,
tablespoon of Dijon mustard, pinch of salt, pepper and oregano.
Mix up all of the ingredients, "spill" them over the salad and mix up everything together.
Your salad is ready! :)

Outfit post - Paradox

Good morning dear readers!
First of all, thank you for all of the nice comments on my
previous post with the edited photos from my latest conceptual
photo shoot. I can't wait to continue with taking tons of photos
in LA, I'm sure that it will be so inspiring to create photo shoots
in a completely different location and climate than what I'm used
to. All of my fine art photographs were always shot in Helsinki
so after 3-4 years of taking photos, it feels very exciting to bring
this change to my "photo-world".

Anyway... On to the outfit. I'm presenting you one of the last outfit
posts from here for a while.
This "situation" was a nice little kick for me because I feel that I've
been more creative with my wintertime outfits and didn't just settle
down for bundled up, total black or black-grey looks.
I won't miss these layered looks for a long time... I'm so ready for
the sunshine and switching my boots for sandals. :)

I'm in the middle of crazy packing and moving process.
My apartment is filled with the boxes and trash bags, so I better
get going and continue with this cleaning and packing because
I have only 2 and half days to finish everything.
Oh boy! Wish me luck dear people! :D

How are you doing? Anybody else moving maybe? :D

I'm wearing: Shoes - Calvin Klein, Jeans - Diesel, Top - Two Songs,
Jacket & vest - Zara, Belt - &otherstories, Bag - Rebecca Minkoff,
Bracelet - COS, Necklace - Diana Broussard

Dream within a dream

What a great day it is to wake up to?
Monday never sounded or looked so good like it does
today and the main reason for that is that I had a photo
shoot yesterday and I'm very proud of the outcome.
It's been a while since I did a photo shoot for "myself" and
since I've been able to express my vision the way I wanted to.
I've been having a roller-coaster of day-to-day life for the past
couple of months, so fitting in a fine art photo shoot wasn't that
high on my list of priorities, but since we're leaving to LA in
a week, I've made it my goal to have a photo shoot before that.

Sasha from Paparazzi was the model for the day and she was
absolutely incredible! Her personality inspired me tremendously
and right from the moment I met her I knew that she'd be perfect
for this role.

It was very cold and windy yesterday and we both froze our
butts off, but it was SO worth it because we've both left the
set with a happy faces. :)

Here're couple of finished/ edited photos and I hope that you
will like them. If you're interested to know more about my
photography and see some of the previous works, please
check out my WEBSITE and there you'll find more links to my
other social media where you can follow for even more "to date"
news and such.

I'm now going to take a nice, long shower and hopefully that'll
help me get rid of the little hungover which I got yesterday after
a night out with friends. :)

Have a great Monday everybody!

Outfit post - Futuristic

Good morning my dear readers!
I got up this morning feeling more energised than usually
so I'm off to a good start of getting my errands in order and
also cleaning the apartment since the 1st showing to new tenants
is today and I want to leave a good impression on the landlord as
well since he's still holding our "deposit" money that we gave him
a year ago in case that we somehow make big damages in this apartment
so then they would take that money to compensate the "loss".

Having some extra money is always good, esp. now when the Spring
is approaching very quickly and also moving to another country at the
same time with a completely different climate than I'm used to, calls
for lots of new, light clothes... I'm thinking of sandals, florals, bikinis
and similar.
Shops have started to receive S/S collections and I'm loving what I see
on the displays.
Did you spot a piece ( or two ) of something that you just MUST have
this Spring?

I did a nice little shopping in Stockholm and got two precious items
from new Acne collection and can't wait to wear them in LA.
For now, here's another, one of the few, last winterish outfits!
Hope you will like it!

I'm wearing: Shoes - Calvin Klein, Jeans - Tiger of Sweden, Blouse - Samuji,
Cardigan - Zara, Sunnies - River Island, Necklace & ring - HOH1960,
Coat - Burberry, Bag - Celine

Outfit post - California Love

Whooop! Whooop! California love!!
Only TWO weeks are left until I'm on the flight to
the city of angels and I'm so excited but at the same time
still fighting with the stress of getting everything taken care
of here in Helsinki before we're off to a completely new life.

I don't know if it makes sense to anybody else but me, but I
want to kind of "clean up" the remains of this "old" life so that
I can be able to start a new life without thinking about something
I didn't do/ take care of while in Helsinki.
The "to-do" list seems endless right now ( think cancelling electricity,
internet, TV, cleaning up, selling, donating stuff, packing up, dividing
between the storage room, trash and things that I'm bringing on the flight,
etc. ), but I did make some kind of plan to tackle down couple of things
every day, so by the end of this month, we should be all set.
Wish me a good luck people!

We had beautiful, sunny weather for the past three days but don't let the
sunshine on my outfit photos fool you!
It's been SO cold outside because the temperatures are below 0°C and
the wind is blowing, so I'm lucky that I got enough of balls to suck it up,
pose and even smile on my photos. :D

I hope that you will like how the photos turned out in the end because
I really like them and think that they have a nice, positive vibe in them.

Have a great Tuesday everybody!!!

I'm wearing: Boots - Frye, Dress - Mango,  Earrings - Chanel
Coat - Max Mara, Scarf - Zara, Bag - Tory Burch, Bracelets - J Crew,
Blazer ( not well pictured ) - Givenchy

Stockholm photo diary

Good Sunday afternoon everybody!
I'm slowly recovering from the trip to Stockholm. I didn't
sleep much during our stay there, we have walked for hours every day
and while having fun and meeting some lovely people, I still haven't
managed to wine down before the next crazy two weeks kick-start
tomorrow.
There're only TWO weeks left until the moving day to Los Angeles
and there're way too many things still to take care of and days are
too short... I hope that I can manage to do as much as I can... There's
only that much that a human can do in a certain amount of time.

I'd like to share a photo diary of our trip to Stockholm and give you
couple of recommendations on what to see/ visit, where to shop and
eat...
I've been already couple of times posting photo diaries and tips about
Stockholm, so I won't be now going into too detailed descriptions, but
I hope that I will manage to make you interested in this gem of a city,
def. one of my favourite cities in Europe.

Here we go:

-streets of Stureplan, beautiful neighbourhood in the heart of the city

-dining at Lebanon Meza Lounge restaurant, an outstanding Lebanese cuisine
WEBSITE

- waking up to this kind of view every morning was SO worth staying at Radisson Blu Waterfront

- the best shopping can be done at NK, from clothes, accessories, to groceries, they have it
all and the best in whole Stockholm

- walk through Gamla Stan ( old part of the city, so historical!! )

- having lunch at an authentic Italian, Paganini restaurant
WEBSITE

- romantic evening walk through the city

- visiting Peppi the Longstocking world is a must!
WEBSITE

- Swedish drama teather

- Nordic museum

- our favourite cafe in Stockholm is FRESCO and our go-to order is
Chèvre salad with figs and avocado and Focaccia with a side salad

- after Fresco, we always end up at Laduree shop next door for a desert :)

-bye bye Stockholm, I will miss you!
