Today's look!

Still sick and fighting the flu, but I feel like a couch potato
since I haven't been active much lately due to freezing weather
and now flu, so I had to make myself put this outfit on and
go downtown. Suddenly temperature went up for 27 degrees !?!?,
so now it's zero °C and it feels nice to walk outside a little bit
and get some fresh air.

Tomorrow is my hubby's birthday, so I can't wait for tomorrow
morning and surprise him with the birthday present that I got him.
We'll go to a great Russian restaurant for lunch, so expect a lot of
yummy food photos in tomorrow's post :)

Today's look

It's been abnormally cold in Helsinki for the past 7 days and
before that... Well it's been cold almost the whole January too!
On top of that my little daughter caught some flu and naturally
I caught it from her, so the only thing I get to do lately is to
sit on the sofa and try to survive the Winter and hope that Spring
is just around the corner... Yea right...
Luckily NYFW starts this coming week, so I'll get "warmed up"
by checking new designer's collections which always makes me happy!

I've put up this outfit today to show it on my blog, but if I would go out
like that on this weather, I would turn into an ice cube by the blink of an eye :P

As I've been doing for many months, at the beginning
of each month I write about what inspires me/ what I'm
looking forward to that month, I'll do the same for this
month as well :) Here we go!


MY HUSBAND'S BIRTHDAY

My man is celebrating his birthday in only couple of days
and I went shopping for his present yesterday morning while
it's been freezing cold outside, but I did find the perfect present
and now I can't wait to give it to him :)

I'm blessed that this man which is 16 years older than I am
was born on this day, because he inspires me every day,
he made me a better person, has helped me to learn so much
about my self and is supporting me in everything I do 100%.
...and he's the love of my life :)
I'M TOO CHEESY!!!



VALENTINE'S DAY

By reading what I wrote about my hubby's birthday, you would
think that I'm all into Valentine's Day and that I will continue with
the cheesy c*ap, but nope... I never liked that day. I did spend many
of Valentine's Days as a single person, but even being married to my
husband, that haven't changed, I still think that it doesn't make sense
that calendar tells you that you HAVE to show love towards each other
on that particular day.
I do like all the heart shaped thing-ies that are popping out of every store,
but I want my man to love me every day and surprise me with small
acts of love without calendar telling him to do so.


WEEDS

If you've been reading my blog for a while, then you might know by now
that I love to collect DVDs of my favorite TV series and movies.
Latest season of Weeds is coming out on DVD this month and I can't wait to
get it and watch it. Such a great, black humor TV series, love it!


CONCERTS

There're at least 3 different shows I would love to see this month.
I don't go out to concerts as often as before, but this month happens
to be filled with good shows in my city and I better get the tickets while
there're still some left :)


FASHION WEEKS

The craziness is about to start! I love that everything's concentrated around
fashion for 4 weeks and I can't wait to see new collections from my favorite
designers. Even tho I won't be attending those Fashion Weeks,
I will keep you very well informed with small texts and bunch of
photos from all the collections that will hit the runaway and also, some photos
of street style fashion :)


HAIR

I wish I could have more time and will to learn how to make something
with my hair. I either have it down or up, messy or straightened.
Time to check youtube for some tutorials :)

Zara

I've been going quite often to Zara lately to check out
what new items they have in the store after the sales have
almost finished.
I'm completely in Spring mode right now and it's unfortunate
that I feel like that since the Winter will last for another 6 weeks
and it's been freezing cold outside for the past couple of days.

Ah... At least I can sit in my comfortable sofa, sip some tea
and check through Spring collections on the internet :)

Here are some combinations from Zara which I find very stylish.
I would like to get myself couple of pieces from these
combinations, that's for sure :)

Casual Wednesday + mini iPhone diary

I've been filling up the applications for grants ( support money
from the country and some foundations for artist, in my case
photographers) and I'm just catching the last train to send them in
in order to get the grant for next 6 months.
Of course, when I need it the most, my printer decided to break
and I had to go to three different places in the city to print everything
I needed to send in my application letter.
That's why I chose this simple, casual outfit for today.
Some take away sushi from Sushi + wine bar, self made Tiramisu cake,
some magazines and the new album from one of my favorite bands
got me relaxed and into "chill out" mood :)
