Croatian photo diary

Hello my dear readers!

What a trip to Croatia it's been!? It was very short but very
intensive, emotional and joyful. I didn't had any internet connection,
but just sometimes when I could catch couple of minutes of WiFi
in some cafe, so sorry for the lack of posts.
I was visiting my old hometown Sibenik and it was an amazing
feeling to see my family, esp. my brothers which I haven't seen in a year.
It was very sunny and warm the whole time of our stay there so we
looked for some refreshment in farmers' market strawberries and local
ice cream shops.

Thursday is a good day to travel! Ok, I just came up with that, but I've decided
to take pretty much a last minute trip to Croatia to visit my family and old
friends. Since it's last minute trip, it will be very short but hopefully very nice one :)
I'll post daily on Instagram and update my blog as usual, so stay tuned.

Also, I would like to thank all of you for being so sweet and supportive and for
leaving such great comments on my previous outfit post!

I'm now off to finishing packing and later on it's time to go to the airport. Yaaay!

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I can't sleep properly for
a week now :( It's quite annoying, because I don't have problems
falling asleep, but once I wake up I can't fall asleep again and it's usually
as early as 5 or 6 am. That sucks, so if you have some good advice on
how to have a long and good sleep, let me know :)

Regarding this outfit, I have completely fell in love with this dress and
headband from H&M's Conscious collection.
It's so feminine, romantic and I was excited to put it on, but to be honest
I didn't really buy this dress for myself, but for one of the upcoming
photo shoots where a proper model will wear it and it will be a conceptual
photo shoot, so I can't wait to create it and show you the final product.
For now, enjoy these photos and the "drama" in them was inspired by one
of my favourite ballet pieces "Carmen" with amazing Maya Plisetskaya.

Outfit post - Approved

Yaaay! I had an interview for US visa this morning and it has
been approved! This is such a great news since it will be my 1st
time travelling to US and I'm going with such a great purpose ( of course
shopping and sightseeing as well ) and that's a group exhibition at
Agora gallery that I'm taking part of.

I can now book my flight and start planning the trip, because there're
soooo many places that I want to see :)

Talking about booking flights, I have also booked a flight to Stockholm
and will go there this month on a mini vacation with my family.
I love travelling and I'm so happy that I have a chance to see bits of the world,
some already known and some yet to be discovered!

Since the weather started to get bit better in Helsinki, it's been also
refreshing to take outfit photos outside.

You are beautiful

I guess that a lot of you have seen this video already, but even if you
have seen it, watch it again and those who didn't you should watch it
because it does remind you about the real picture of our appearance which
we tend to believe is different, even ugly on daily basis.
I'm the 1st one to have issues with the way how I see myself when I look in
the mirror. I'm more self confident than ever before, but there're days when I'm
still very critical of my looks.
There're so many small details which I would like to change on my face,
my hair, etc. but  I'm starting to love myself more and more, because the
reality is that I'm much more beautiful than what I think.

I remember that quite many times I got confused or even a bit shocked when
some friend or total stranger would tell me that they think I'm beautiful or
would compliment on my looks.
I didn't know how to deal with it because I was not expecting to hear something
like that.
I mean I knew I wasn't ugly, but "beautiful" somehow sounded too good?

Beauty definitely comes from within and it's all about somebody's personality
what truly makes them beautiful!
If I see a beautiful and heartfelt smile or a warmth in somebody's eyes when
I talk to them is the 1st thing I'll notice about that person.

It's funny how when I was little/ teenager I always had this "ideal" of how my
boyfriend should look like and then the one that I have married is completely
opposite to that "ideal" but is the most beautiful guy in the world to me.
His eyes, smile and cheeks got me instantly!

Sometimes exactly these "imperfections" that you find in your looks will be
something what will make a certain someone fall in love with you :)
